Laundry day in real washers/dryers! 2 weeks worth of laundry + bedding.

There is a pretty good looking laundry shop near the anchorage. $12.50 for all the washing. A bit expensive but worth it for clean clothes. There is a great attendant on site and the machines are large. The jumbo loader has all the towels that are aboard the boat. After all the rain they really need a good washing. Drying is $0.25 for 6 minutes.
It’s a bit of a hassel to load the dinghy with so much laundry but much easier than washing in the basin. The powdered soap we have aboard doesn’t suds up in the brackish water anyways. Clean clothes and bedding for the birthday boy. A shower is in order as well.

Drying towels after an intense rainstorm. Gearing up for another this afternoon.

Received these chairs from Lisa/Corey in exchange for Steven working with Corey on his charts. They will clean up nicely.

Bleaching old, dirty lines. A clean plunger works well as an agitator!

Running bleach through the water tanks

We have 2 water tanks under the floor in the salon. Total, we have between 60-80 gallons of space. The tanks look pretty clean on the inside when we peeked with the flash light. A good bleaching won’t hurt though. For now, we will use the tanks to flush the potty and as rinse water. We are debating if it would be safe enough to run the tank water through a Brita filter for drinking purposes. We are concerned about chemicals as we have bug bombed several times.
