A couple hours of sleep. Back up at 6am. Still raining.

Must get started painting in the next 15 minutes. Working on the rudder in a tent near the boat. Will have to hang the rudder in the rain. Not ideal at all. Must install 2 thru hulls and stuffing box this morning. Also need to attach the trim tab, find the zinc and coupling. Not going to make the 8am launch. Hoping the yard will give us a few more hours. Frustrated and still exhausted.

Too tired to post much. Fighting a cold. Lots to do tomorrow.

Had a full day. Rudder is epoxied. Bottom paint is on. Rain is coming in less than 24 hours. Still launching Monday morning.

Rudder is coming along finally. One coat of paint on the keel. Break time.

Launching Monday. Scraping the keel now. The sling strap slid last night taking away some of the paint :(

Another big rain storm. The boat is a wreck with drying laundry, soaked towels and wind blown items.

The rain today really messed up our flow. We were going to acetone the hull and put a layer of bottom paint on. We only have 5 days until we go in the slings (the travel lift that brings us to the water) and the work list is semi intense. We need all the good weather we can get. This whole year, so far, has been mostly bad weather. Either too cold or rainy to get much outdoor work done. Not to mention the emotional hit the bad weather brings. We’re much more sensitive on the boat. We really have to bust ass the next few days because more rain is coming later in the week. The major things left to do are the bottom paint, grinding 2 spots on the hull and laying down some fiberglass for extra hull strength, installing the cutlass bearing and stuffing box and adding the rudder hardware that should come any day now. Despite the rain today, we did wash down the hull and listed some items for sale on Amazon. Oh, and we stowed our MRE’s!
