NOLA-My sister was attacked and carjacked just a few hours ago. They took her car, purse and dog. Uptown area. Dog answers to Skeeter and is an 11 yr old Chihuahua/Jack Russell mix. Please keep a lookout. Car is a 2000 Lincoln Navigator/Beige/License # TFX 907.
Hi, I sent Meg a FB message this morning, heartbreaking! We are sharing like crazy on Animal Rescue New Orleans page but suggested to Meg she get word out “reward, no questions asked” If person who stole car dumped poor Skeeter, a reward incentive might be enough to have someone find him or even if not dumped. Since you don’t know if Skeeter still with carjacker an incentive like that might help.
We are prayng for his safe return!

Also, if you guys can establish a phone number to reach Meg or anyone who might be able to come to the scene if in fact Skeeter is spotted. Sometimes when they are scared, they won’t just go to anyone so if you guys could post a phone number where someone could be reached in an instant if need be if Skeeter is spotted.
I know it has been a long time since this morning, but I am reasonably sure I saw this dog dodging traffic on the river side of st. Charles near Louisiana. It was shaky and clearly frightened when I drove past it on the neutral ground trying to cross again to the lake side of st Charles. I thought of stopping, but had 2 babies in the backseat of my car. This was around 8:30 this morning.
Thanks Angelique! I passed the info along. ANY information is helpful. As of now we don’t know if he’s on the streets or in the car abandoned somewhere.
You are in our thoughts and prayers for Skeeter to return home safely to your loving arms.
Gary and Patty
Hi,
I am sorry for your loss and what happened to Meg.
I have a feeling I saw your dog today (Oct 31) around 1:30 p.m. on Eupharsine which is a street right off Jeff Davis. It’s the street where the Coca Cola building and the Woodward building is on Jeff Davis. The dog did not have a collar on but very much resembles Skeeter in the photos.
My only hope is that he AMY be hiding or somewhere still in that area (industrial) so it may be worth going there tomorrow morning and looking or even asking anyone on that street in a business if they saw and when they last saw this dog who may be Skeeter.
I hope somehow this may narrow down the search area even though I have only realized the situation and had no idea.
SPCA is meeting with Meg today and will match $500. reward to $1,000.
below is Reward poster(go to facebook link below) , PLEASE RE-POST AND FLYER!
THANK YOU.

Thanks for the info, Sam! And thanks for the advise Lise. They’ve updated the flyers.
Jeanne, thanks for the info! Do you know if the $1000 reward is official yet? I want to make sure before we update the flyers.
I just talked to Meg and Crimestoppers is also matching some part of the reward. The exact amount should be on the news this evening.
I also want to make it clear that no questions will be asked of anyone who finds him. We’re just interested in getting Skeeter back.
You guys are amazing for taking the time to come here and post sightings.
