Hoping this was the last of the tropical wave that came by. Should be normal afternoon thunderstorms for a while now.

Using a tampon to plug a leak is supposed to work wonders on a boat. We’ll see.

We have a strange little hole in our forward cabin where someone added a sheet of wood with a thin layer of fiberglass. Something didn’t hold!. It still drips despite the tarps. The trick, they say, is to use tampons with a cardboard applicator. Ladies, you know how this works ;)

View of Bimini Basin + a hungry stingray. Bad weather coming. Not a chance of leaving for at least 2 days.

If you look close you can see the fins of a stingray that has been circling the boat for a few minutes now. Weather looks grim and there is a noticeable coolness in the air. Expecting to get some nasty rain and wind over the next few days. Much more nasty than the usual afternoon showers. Too hairy to try and pull anchor though we would like to be on our way to Sanibel/Captiva. Maybe Wednesday or Thursday. Steven’s birthday is on Sunday and we really want to be settled for a few days in a more tropical like anchorage. We most likely will have to motor out of Bimini Basin with all our tarps up.

Rainstorm is over. Bailing the dinghy.
